Okay, so I’ve been wanting to check out these “zoo concerts” I kept hearing about in Portland. I mean, music and animals? Sounded like a pretty sweet combo, so I decided to finally make it happen.

Figuring Out the Details

First things first, I needed to find out what was actually going on. I did a quick search, and found some stuff about concerts at the Oregon Zoo. Apparently, it’s a whole summer series thing, pretty cool!

Getting the Tickets

I looked up ticket availability. Seems like these things can be pretty popular, so buying them beforehand is a smart move. I picked a date with an artist I liked, grabbed a couple of tickets for me and a friend, and we were all set. Simple enough, right?

The Day Of…

On the day of the concert, we made sure to get to the zoo a bit early. I figured there’d be parking and stuff to deal with. We ended up finding a spot without too much trouble, thankfully. Once inside, we spent some time just wandering around. I mean, we were at the zoo, might as well see some animals!

Showtime!

We found the concert area, which was this big, open, grassy space. People were setting up blankets and chairs, getting ready for the show. The vibe was super chill and everyone seemed excited. We found a good spot, laid out our blanket, and just relaxed until the music started.

The Music and the Animals

The concert itself was awesome! It was this unique feeling, enjoying live music surrounded by all the nature and animal sounds. You’d hear a bird chirping or a lion roaring in the distance, all mixed in with the music. It was definitely an experience I won’t forget.

Wrapping Up

After the show, we slowly made our way out, grabbing some snacks on the way. The whole thing was so smoothly organized, it made the whole day really enjoyable. It was great. I should do that again soon.

All in all, I’d totally recommend checking out a zoo concert if you’re in Portland. It’s a perfect mix of music, nature, and just a good time. Just remember to grab your tickets early!
