Okay, here’s my blog post about my “wicked paramount seattle” experience:
So, I finally got around to seeing Wicked at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. I’d heard so much about this show, and it was definitely on my bucket list. I grabbed my tickets a few weeks ago, I was so excited!

Getting There
Getting to the Paramount was pretty straightforward. I decided to drive, and found street parking a couple blocks from there. There are also parking building nearby, but I wanted to save a few bucks. You can also take a bus, it stops really close to the theatre.
The Paramount Theatre Experience
Entering the theater was like going back in time. This place is gorgeous! The details, the chandeliers…it all creates a real sense of old-school glamor. Seriously, I spent a good ten minutes just looking around before I even found my seat.
- The Atmosphere: Totally classic and beautiful. I felt like I should be wearing a fancy gown or something!
- The Staff: Everyone was super friendly and helpful, from the ticket-takers to the ushers. They were very patient and helped people find their seats.
- Snacks and Drinks:Of course, I had to grab some popcorn and a soda. You can grab something before the show or during intermission.
The Show – Wicked!
Now, onto the main event – Wicked! The show tells the story of the Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba) and Glinda the Good from The Wizard of Oz, but from their perspectives, before Dorothy ever showed up.
I was blown away. From the opening number, I was completely hooked. The costumes are crazy detailed, and the sets are amazing – they really pull you into the world of Oz.
The singing…wow. The actress playing Elphaba had such a powerful voice, especially during “Defying Gravity.” That song gave me chills! It was such a “WOW” moment when she started to rise into the air. Glinda was also fantastic – so funny and bubbly, but you could also see the depth of her character.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but I will say that the story is a lot more complex than I expected. It really makes you think about good vs. evil, and how perspectives can change everything. There were some laugh-out-loud moments, and a few parts that were actually pretty sad.
Final Thoughts
I spent three hours watching the show, but I was so immersed in it that it didn’t feel like a chore at * you’re in Seattle, or even if you’re just visiting, I can’t recommend Wicked enough. It’s a fantastic show, and seeing it at the Paramount Theatre made it an even more special experience. It’s totally worth it!
