Okay, so I’ve been hearing about this “Dance of the Bones Jance” thing, and I was like, “What the heck is that?” So, I decided to give it a try. I’m not a dancer, not even close, but I figured, why not? Let’s get into it.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to figure out what exactly I was supposed to be doing. I mean, “Dance of the Bones” sounds cool and all, but it’s not exactly self-explanatory. After some serious digging around on the internet, I found a few videos, nothing super clear, but enough to get a basic idea.

The Moves
It seemed like there were a few core moves to this whole thing:
- The “Rib Cage Ripple”: This involved, you know, kind of undulating your rib cage. I felt like a weird snake trying this.
- The “Shoulder Shimmy”: This was a bit easier. Just shaking my shoulders back and forth. I could almost do this one without looking totally ridiculous.
- The “Pelvic Pop”: Okay, this one was awkward. Basically, you’re popping your pelvis forward. I felt like a chicken. A very confused chicken.
- The “Spinal Wave”: I have tried moving my spine like a wave,It was hard.
Putting It All Together
So, I practiced each of these moves separately. A lot. My mirror got a good workout, and probably my neighbors too, if they could see through the walls. I’m sure I looked like a complete goofball, flailing around in my living room.
Then came the hard part: trying to put all the moves together. It was… challenging. I felt like my body parts were all fighting each other. My rib cage would ripple when it should have been shimmying, and my pelvis would pop at all the wrong times. Coordination is not my strong suit, apparently.
The “Performance”
After a few hours of practice (and a lot of sweating), I decided to film myself doing the “Dance of the Bones.” Let me tell you, watching that video back was a humbling experience. I looked like a marionette with its strings tangled. But, you know what? I had fun. And I definitely got a good workout. I was, suprisingly, sore, it was so strange.
Final Thoughts
Would I recommend the “Dance of the Bones”? Sure, why not? It’s a fun way to move your body and maybe get a little exercise. Just don’t expect to look graceful. And maybe warn your neighbors first. Especially, don’t take yourself too seriously, just have a laugh.
