Okay, so today I wanted to dig into the Travis County Criminal Court Docket. I’ve needed to find some case information before, and it can be a real pain if you don’t know where to look. I’m gonna walk you through exactly what I did, step by step, so hopefully, it’ll save you some time if you ever need to do this.
Figuring Out Where to Start
First things first, I had to find the right website. I started with a simple search, and it turns out Travis County has a pretty decent online system. I found several different links, finally figured out which one is the correct one.

Navigating the Website
Once I got to the main page, it wasn’t too bad. There’s a bunch of options, but I found the “Criminal Court Records” section.
Performing the Search
Now for the actual search. The site gives you a few ways to search, I tried to search by case number.
- Case Number:I tried to enter the Case number.
- Filling the required fieldI filled the security text field.
- Start SearchingI clicked the search button.
I was trying to search, got the case detail I needed.
What I Learned
The biggest thing I learned is that it’s doable! It might take a little poking around, but the information is there. It’s also good to know that you have a few different search options, you can adjust based on what information you already have.
I documented my search results, including screenshots and details of the information I retrieved. I found exactly what I was looking for!
It is so good to find what I want. I am pretty happy with this search practice.
