Okay, so yesterday I was craving some authentic Mexican food, and I remembered this place I’d heard about: Tortas y Tacos Michoacan. I’d heard they had, like, the best tortas and tacos. So, I decided to check it out and document the whole experience.
First, I looked up their location. Pretty easy to find, thankfully. It wasn’t too far of a drive.
When I got there, the place was buzzing. Lots of people, families, all chowing down. It smelled AMAZING. Like, seriously, my stomach started rumbling the second I walked in.
Ordering and the food
I went up to the counter and, wow, the menu was HUGE. So many choices! They had all the classic tortas – carnitas, asada, al pastor – and tons of taco options too. It took me a good five minutes to figure out what I wanted.
I finally decided on a torta al pastor and a couple of tacos: one asada and one carnitas. Gotta try a variety, right?
- Torta al Pastor: I figured It is good to get one torta!
- Tacos:
- Asada x 1
- Carnitas x 1
The wait wasn’t too long. Maybe 10-15 minutes? And let me tell you, when that food came out… oh boy.
The torta was massive. Seriously, it was like a football. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the al pastor was flavorful and juicy. They didn’t skimp on the toppings either – plenty of onions, cilantro, and that spicy salsa. I devoured that thing.
The tacos were just as good. The tortillas were warm and soft, and the meats were cooked perfectly. The asada had that nice char on it, and the carnitas were super tender. I added some lime and their green salsa – so, so good.
Final Thought
Honestly, I was stuffed. I could barely finish everything. It was such a satisfying meal. And the price? Super reasonable. I definitely got my money’s worth. I will go back try other foods next time!
If you’re ever looking for some legit Mexican food, I highly recommend checking out Tortas y Tacos Michoacan. Just be prepared to loosen your belt!
