Okay, so I’ve been wanting to upgrade my home dinnerware for a while. I was tired of my mismatched plates and chipped bowls. I did some digging and stumbled upon Steelite International tableware. Heard good things, so I decided to give it a shot.
First, I browsed their website. It was a little overwhelming, to be honest, because they have so many different collections! So many choices, my head started swimming.

I narrowed it down by thinking about what style I wanted. Did I want something classic? Modern? Rustic? I settled on something in between – kinda modern, but not too stark.
- Considered my budget. Steelite isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s supposed to be durable, so I figured it was worth the investment.
- Checked out a few different collections. I liked the “Craft” collection for its slightly rustic look, but then I saw the “Varick” collection and loved its simple elegance.
- Read the fine print and the differences.
I decided the shapes, style and colors then I placed an order.
Unboxing and First Impressions
The package arrived a few days later. Everything was packed really well, no broken pieces. Whew!
I unpacked everything and immediately loved the look and feel of the plates and bowls. They felt heavy and substantial, definitely not flimsy. The finish was beautiful – a smooth, almost satin-like feel.
I washed everything and set the table for dinner that night. It felt so fancy! Even my simple pasta dish looked elevated. So far, so good!
My old set had been with me for a while and I was sad to see them go, but change is good right? My next step is to see how well these hold up over time. I’ll keep you posted!
