Okay, so I’ve been on a real Natalie Merchant kick lately. I just love her voice and her lyrics, it is just so perfect! And I wanted to dig a little deeper into some live performances. Specifically, I was looking for stuff from Seattle, because, you know, that city has such a cool musical history. So, I decided to find “natalie merchant seattle”.
I started with just a plain old search.
I typed in “natalie merchant seattle” and hit enter.
First, I scrolled through a bunch of the usual stuff, the general pages about her, some ticket sales for way back, and the stuff you always get first.
Then I refined my search a bit, i added some words like “live recording” or “concert bootleg” to find something different.
My Little Discoveries
- I found that she did play Bumbershoot, which is super cool.
- I checked some old setlists and the songs that are pretty popular.
- I listened some familar and also unfamiliar songs.
It was all so wonderful! I spend a long time to listen!
I even tried to look up some videos, i want to see the perfomance. I spent, I don’t know, a good couple of hours just getting lost in it all. It’s amazing how much music is out there if you just start poking around!
So that’s it. That’s what I did with my day. Explored the world of Natalie Merchant in Seattle. Pretty good use of a few hours, if I do say so myself.
