Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a nice silver bowl for a while, you know, for serving stuff at dinner parties or just having something pretty on the table. I finally decided to go for it, and I found this Reed & Barton silver bowl that looked perfect. It’s not like, super fancy or antique, but it had a nice classic look that I liked.
The Hunt Begins
First, I checked out some local antique shops. I figured I might get lucky and find a used one in good condition, maybe even at a good price. I went around to a few different places, looking at all their silver stuff. I saw some pretty things, but nothing that was quite what I was looking for. Either they were too ornate, or too small, or just not the right style.

Taking the Plunge

The Arrival
A few days later, the package arrived! I opened it up right away. It was packed really well, with lots of bubble wrap and stuff. And there it was – my new Reed & Barton silver bowl! It looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. It had a nice weight to it, and the silver was really shiny. Perfect size, classic shape, it’s exectly what I want.
Happy Ending
I gave it a quick polish, and then I put it out on my dining room table. It looks great! I’m already planning on using it for the next dinner party I have. It’s a nice feeling. I’m really happy with my purchase. It was definitely worth the little bit of searching I had to do. All that matters, is that it ended up being the perfect silver bowl for me!
