Okay, so today I was messing around with, like, whether I should go see a movie or just chill at home in Redmond. It was a whole thing, you know?
The Great Debate: Couch vs. Cinema
First, I woke up and the weather was kinda “meh.” Not raining, but not exactly sunshine either. That already put a damper on my outdoor plans. So I started thinking, “Do I really want to go out?”

Then I checked the movie listings. There was this one action flick I kinda wanted to see, but the showtimes were all weird. Like, one was super early, and the other was way too late. Ugh.
- Early showtime: Miss my beauty sleep. No way.
- Late showtime: Risk falling asleep during the movie. Also no way.
So, I started weighing my options. Staying home meant I could wear my comfy pajamas all day, make popcorn whenever I wanted, and pause the movie (if I even watched one) to grab more snacks. Sounds pretty good, right?
The “Effort” Factor
But then, the thought of actually getting ready, driving to the theater, finding parking, dealing with crowds… it all seemed like a lot of effort. I mean some day, a simple things become to much.
I even googled “Is it worth going to the movies anymore?” – don’t judge! – and found a bunch of articles about how expensive it is, and how annoying other people can be in the theater. You know, the talkers, the phone checkers… the usual suspects.
The Final Decision
After all that back-and-forth, I finally decided to stay in. Yep, Redmond won this round. I put on my favorite sweatpants, made a giant bowl of popcorn (with extra butter, obviously), and settled in for a movie marathon at home.
Honestly, no regrets. Sometimes, the best plan is no plan at all. Just good old-fashioned laziness. Did I make the “right” choice? Who knows! But I was comfy, and that’s all that matters, right?
