Mount Fuji Oregon: Is It Real? (Everything You Need to Know About This Fuji)

Okay, so I’ve been seeing these amazing pictures of “Mount Fuji Oregon” all over social media, and I was like, “I gotta check this out!” Turns out, it’s actually called Mount Hood, and it does look a lot like Mount Fuji. So, I planned a little trip to see it for myself.

Getting Started

First things first, I did some digging online. Found out where the best viewpoints were supposed to be. I’m not much of a hiker, so I was looking for spots I could drive to or maybe take a short walk. Trillium Lake kept popping up, so that became my main target.

The Drive

The drive itself was pretty awesome. I loaded up my car with snacks and drinks, cranked up the music, and hit the road. The scenery started getting really pretty as I got closer to the mountain. Lots of tall trees and winding roads.

Finding Trillium Lake

I followed my GPS, and it took me right to Trillium Lake. There’s a small fee to park, but it’s totally worth it. I grabbed my camera and started walking towards the lake.

The Moment of Truth

And there it was! Mount Hood, in all its glory, reflected perfectly in the calm water of the lake. It really did look like Mount Fuji! Seriously breathtaking. I spent a good hour just walking around the lake, taking pictures from different angles.

  • The view from the south side of the lake was probably the best.
  • Used a couple different lenses on my camera to try and capture the scale of it.
  • Even saw a few people fishing and kayaking on the lake.

Wrapping Up

After soaking it all in, I headed back to my car, feeling totally satisfied. It was such a simple trip, but so rewarding. I definitely recommend checking out Trillium Lake if you want that “Mount Fuji Oregon” *’s worth checking the weather,* day was sunny, but if it had been cloudy, I would have seen nothing!
