Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get my teeth checked for a while, and I heard about this “Manos de Cristo Dental” thing. Figured I’d give it a shot and document the whole shebang.
Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out what this place even was. Did some digging. Turns out, it’s like, a low-cost dental clinic. Perfect, ’cause my wallet’s been feeling a bit thin lately.
The Process
- Finding info. This took a minute. Not gonna lie, their online presence ain’t the flashiest. But I eventually found their details.
- Making the call. Okay, this was a hurdle. I hate phone calls. But I sucked it up and dialed. Got an appointment, surprisingly easy.
- Showing Up. I am always, and that day was no exception. Finally I made it on time!
- The Waiting Room. Your standard waiting room situation. Magazines, some slightly uncomfortable chairs. People-watched for a bit. The usual.
- Getting Called In. My name! Time for the main event. Walked back, got settled in the chair.
- The Check-Up. The dentist was pretty chill. Poked around, asked the usual questions about flossing (I may have stretched the truth a little…). Got the lowdown on what needed to be done.
- The Work. So, I needed a couple of fillings. Not thrilled, but hey, gotta be done. Got the numbing shots (hate those!), then the drilling and filling. Honestly, not as bad as I’d built it up to be in my head.
- Paying Up. This was the best part! Way cheaper than I expected. Seriously, a relief.
The Aftermath
Teeth felt weird for a few hours, that numb feeling is always strange. But once that wore off, everything was good! Actually felt better than before, which, duh, that’s the point.
Overall Verdict: Would recommend. If you’re looking for affordable dental care, and you’re not expecting some super fancy, spa-like experience, Manos de Cristo Dental is worth checking out. Just be prepared for a bit of a basic setup, but the important thing is, my teeth are happy, and my bank account isn’t crying.
