Alright, so I had this crazy idea to make some “Make Them Suffer” merch. You know, just for fun, something unique. I’m a huge fan, and I figured, why not try to design something myself?
First, I brainstormed some concepts. I mean, what kind of design would really capture their vibe? I went through their albums, listened to their music, and jotted down some keywords and imagery that came to mind. Think dark, ethereal, maybe a little bit melancholic, with that signature “Make Them Suffer” edge.

Then, I started sketching. I’m no artist, let me tell you, but I can scribble out some basic ideas. I played around with different layouts, font styles, and imagery. I used my simple graphic editor and spent hours on the basic design.
- Tried a few different color schemes – mostly dark, with maybe some hints of red or purple.
- Experimented with incorporating lyrics, but it got a bit too cluttered. Simpler is better, I think.
- Played with some abstract shapes and patterns, trying to give it that “atmospheric” feel.
After I am satisfied with my basic design, I polishing it up. This meant cleaning up the lines, making sure everything was aligned properly, and choosing the right fonts. This part took a while, because I kept second-guessing myself. “Is this too much? Is this too little? Does this even make sense?” Classic overthinking.
Finally, I took that design and did mock-ups. It shows what the designs would look like on a t-shirt. The mock-up is done and looks cool.
It was a fun little project, and who knows, maybe I’ll even get around to actually making them one day. For now, it’s just a cool design sitting on my computer, a testament to my love for “Make Them Suffer” and my random bursts of creative energy.
