Okay, so, I’ve been dealing with this nasty athlete’s foot for a while now. It’s itchy, it’s annoying, and it just wouldn’t go away. I tried a bunch of creams and powders, but nothing seemed to do the trick. Then, I stumbled upon some stuff online talking about using bleach. Yeah, bleach! I was like, “Whoa, is that even safe?” But I was desperate, so I decided to give it a shot, my way, of course.
My Bleach Experiment for Athlete’s Foot
First things first, I didn’t just dunk my foot in a bucket of straight bleach. Don’t do that! That’s insane and could seriously mess you up. I did some digging and found out that you gotta dilute it, like, a lot.

So, here’s what I did:
- Got the Supplies: I grabbed some regular household bleach (the unscented kind, important!), a big plastic tub, and some measuring cups.
- Mixed it Up: I filled the tub with about a gallon of lukewarm water. Then, I added about quarter of a cup of bleach. The key is to have it be a very very tiny amount of bleach, it should be a weak solution.
- Soak Time: I stuck my feet in the bleach water for about 10 minutes. It felt a little weird, but not painful or anything. I made sure to keep an eye on my skin, just in case.
- Rinse and Dry: After the soak, I rinsed my feet really well with plain water and dried them thoroughly, especially between the toes.
I did this twice a day for a few days. And guess what? The itching started to go down, and the redness started to fade. I’m not saying it’s a miracle cure, or something my doctor would recommend, but it seemed to help me out.
Important Note! This is just what I did, and I’m not a doctor. If you’ve got a bad case of athlete’s foot, you should probably see a doctor or a foot specialist first. Bleach can be dangerous if you don’t use it right, so be careful! Seriously, be extra careful and do your own research. This is just my experience and what worked for me, it may not work for everyone.
