Alright, so the other day I was feeling super nostalgic and wanted to do something different. I remembered those old drive-in theaters and thought, “Hey, why not see if there’s one still around?” Turns out, there’s one in Everett, not too far from me! So, I grabbed my best friend, and we decided to make a night of it.
First things first, I checked out their website to see what was playing. Gotta make sure it’s a movie we both actually want to see, right? They had a double feature, which was awesome – two movies for the price of one!

Next, packed the car. This is where the fun begins. We loaded up with tons of blankets, pillows – basically anything to make the car super comfy. Think fort-building, but in a car.
- popcorn
- soda
- candy
Don’t forget all the good stuff.
We got there early to snag a good spot. I wanted to be close enough to see the screen well, but not too close, you know? It’s all about finding that sweet spot. Finding the perfect viewing angle is important!
Once we were parked, we set up our little nest. We reclined the seats, fluffed up the pillows, and arranged the blankets just so. It was seriously cozy. We even cracked the windows a bit for some fresh air – but not too much, because bugs!
Then came the most confusing part: figuring out the sound. I totally forgot that you tune into a specific radio station to hear the movie audio. I fumbled around with the radio for a bit, but we finally got it working. Phew!
And finally, it was showtime! We munched on our snacks, got totally engrossed in the movies, and just enjoyed the whole experience. It felt like stepping back in time, but with the comfort of my own car.
My conclusion
Honestly, it was such a fun and unique night. If you’re looking for something different to do, I highly recommend checking out a drive-in theater. It’s a great way to hang out with friends, enjoy a movie under the stars, and create some awesome memories. Just remember to pack the essentials and be prepared to get cozy!
