Okay, so today I tried out this “talking to the moon book” thing. It sounded kinda cheesy, but I was curious. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately, you know? Like I needed to shake things up.
Getting Started
First, I had to, like, actually find a moon. It was a cloudy night, which was a bummer. I ended up just using a picture of the moon on my phone. Not quite the same, I know, but I figured the intention was what mattered, right?

The Actual Talking Part
Then came the awkward part – talking to the, uh, phone. I felt pretty silly at first. I mean, who talks to a picture of the moon? But I decided to just go with it. I closed my eyes for a sec, took a deep breath, and started talking.
- I started by just saying whatever came to mind. Like, “Hey moon, what’s up?” Super profound, I know.
- Then, I started talking about stuff that’s been bugging me. Work stress, relationship stuff, you name it. It was kinda like venting to a friend, except the friend was a giant space rock.
- I tried to be really honest, even about the stuff I don’t usually admit to myself. It felt a little scary, but also kinda freeing.
Afterward and Writing
I am starting write this blog, when I finished “talking”,I did feel a little * I wrote all my process down.
I’m not saying this is some magic cure-all, but it was definitely…interesting. It helped me get some stuff off my chest, and it made me think about things from a different perspective. Maybe it’s the whole “talking to something bigger than yourself” thing. Or maybe I’m just going crazy. Who knows! 🤪
Anyway, I’m gonna try this again on the next full moon – a real one this time, hopefully! – and see if it keeps working. Might even make it a regular thing. If you’re feeling adventurous, give it a shot! You might be surprised.
