Okay, so yesterday I decided to check out Metz Neighborhood Park. I’d heard it was a nice little spot, and I needed to get out of the house.
First, I grabbed my water bottle and keys, and hopped in the car. The drive was pretty short, maybe 15 minutes tops. Finding the park was easy enough, it’s right there on the main road, easy to see.

Once I parked, I got out and just kind of stood there for a minute, taking it all in. It’s a nice sized-park. There are a bunch of big, old trees, which is great for shade. I saw some people walking their dogs, kids playing on the playground, the usual park stuff.
I started by just walking around the perimeter. There’s a paved path that goes all the way around, so it’s perfect for a leisurely stroll or a jog if you’re feeling energetic. I noticed some picnic tables scattered around, too, under the trees. Made a mental note to bring a lunch next time.
- Walked the paved path.
- Checked out the playground area (looked fun, even for a grown-up!).
- Found a quiet spot under a tree and just relaxed for a bit.
- Watchedsome squirrels chasing each other, it’s amazing how much fun they have.
After my walk, I found a nice shady spot and just sat down on the grass. I closed my eyes, listened to the birds, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was really relaxing.
I’ll definitely be going back to Metz Neighborhood Park. It’s a simple, peaceful place to unwind and get a little bit of nature. If you live to relax yourself, you must find somewhere similar. Try to enjoy your life!
