Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “Whateke Food Truck” posts popping up all over my social media, and my curiosity finally got the better of me. I decided to check it out for myself, and let me tell you, it was a whole journey!
Getting Started
First, I had to figure out where this mysterious truck even was. I scoured the internet, checking their Facebook and Instagram pages. It took some digging, but I finally found their schedule for the week. They were going to be parked downtown near the park on Saturday – perfect!

The Hunt Begins
Saturday morning, I headed downtown, stomach rumbling and ready to go. I parked a few blocks away (because, you know, food truck parking is always a nightmare) and started walking. I followed the general directions, keeping an eye out for a crowd – usually a good sign when you’re hunting down a popular food truck.
Found It! (And the Line…)
And there it was! The Whateke Food Truck, in all its glory. But, oh boy, was there a line. It snaked around the corner and down the block. I seriously considered just giving up, but I’d come this far, right? I joined the queue, prepared for a wait.
The Waiting Game
- I spent a good 45 minutes in line, which, honestly, wasn’t as bad as I expected.
- I made small talk with the people around me – everyone was buzzing about the food.
- I checked their menu online again to finalize my order (gotta be efficient!).
Ordering and Finally… Eating!
Finally, I reached the front! I ordered their famous fried chicken, and for the side, I ordered the mac and cheese.
The smell alone was making my mouth water.I got number for my order.I grabbed my food, found a spot on a nearby bench, and dug in.
The Verdict
Was it worth the wait? Absolutely!
The service was fast and friendly.

The fried chicken was incredible – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned.
And that mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy, and just pure comfort food.
So, if you’re thinking about trying the Whateke Food Truck, my advice is: do it! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, but trust me, it’s worth it. And if you don’t want to wait, you can book the truck to your place for events.
