Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about C.J. Stroud rookie cards lately, and his score cards, specifically. I figured, “Why not jump in and see what all the fuss is about?” I’m not a hardcore collector or anything, but it sounded like a fun little project.
First, I hit up some online shops. Gotta get a feel for what’s out there, you know? I was looking at a bunch of different cards, trying to figure out which ones were popular and which ones were maybe a bit overhyped.

Then, I started checking out some forums and collector groups. It’s always good to see what other people are saying. I found some good discussions about different variations and which ones people thought were good investments. That’s was help for me.
The Hunt Begins
- I started small, I didn’t want to go crazy right away. So I picked up a couple of the more common Score C.J. Stroud rookie cards. Just to get my feet wet.
- Then I got a little more ambitious. I started looking for some of the rarer variations, like the ones with autographs or special foil designs. Those were definitely harder to find.
- I even went to a local card show! It was pretty cool to see all the cards in person and chat with other collectors. I didn’t find anything amazing, but it was a fun experience.
The Score
So, after all that, did I strike it rich? Not really, hah! But I did manage to snag a few cool cards. I got a couple of the base Score rookies, and I even found one with a nice parallel design. Nothing super valuable, but I like them, and that’s what matters, I guess.
I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for more C.J. Stroud cards in the future. Who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky and find a real gem someday. But even if I don’t, it’s been a fun ride so far.
