Bumbershoot 2017 in Seattle:the ultimate Music festival.

Okay, so, Bumbershoot 2017 in Seattle… Man, that was a year. I remember thinking, “I gotta go, I just gotta.” So, first thing I did was, I scoured the internet for tickets. Didn’t want to pay those crazy last-minute prices, you know?

After I got my ticket situation sorted, I had to figure out where to stay. Seattle’s not exactly cheap, especially during a big festival. I ended up finding a decent, not-too-shabby Airbnb a little outside the main festival area. Saved some cash that way, which was good ’cause I knew I’d be spending a bunch on food and, well, other festival stuff.

The Festival

  • I packed. Light layers were the key. Seattle weather, you never really know.
  • I made the essential, a playlist. Got to have the right tunes for the trip, right?
  • I also checked, double-checked, and triple-checked the festival schedule. Didn’t want to miss any of my favorite bands.

Getting there was a bit of a trek, but whatever. Once I was inside, though? Whoa. The energy was insane. I wandered around for a while, just taking it all in. The music, the people, the food trucks… everything. I think I ate like five different things within the first hour. No regrets.

I remember seeing some amazing bands that year. Can’t recall all of them, my memory’s a little fuzzy, it happens, and some of the bands that just blew me away. I spent most of my time hopping between stages, trying to catch as much as possible. I met a bunch of cool people, too. That’s one of the best parts of festivals, right? You’re all there for the same reason, to have a good time and enjoy the music.

By the end of each day, I was completely exhausted. In a good way, though. Like, I’d danced and sung and walked my butt off. Totally worth it.

Overall, Bumbershoot 2017 was a blast. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Maybe not every year, my old bones can’t handle that anymore, but it’s definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

I took lots of pictures, so someday I will try to find all of them, maybe share more.
