Okay, so today I decided to dig through my old boxes of stuff in the attic. I was hoping to find some hidden treasures, maybe something valuable, you know? And guess what? I stumbled upon my old baseball card collection!

I totally forgot I even had these! I used to be a huge baseball fan as a kid, and I remember spending all my allowance on packs of cards. It was like a lottery, hoping to get that one special card.

So, I started going through the collection, and I found a bunch of cards of Ken Griffey Sr. He was a solid player, a big name back in the day, especially when playing with his son. I have at least 3 or 4 different cards of his.

Sorting Through the Cards

First, I laid out all the cards on a table. This made it easier to see what I had. Then, I grouped the Ken Griffey Sr. cards together. Here’s what that looked like:

  • Card 1: A 1980 Topps card. It was a bit worn around the edges, but still pretty cool.
  • Card 2: A 1985 Donruss. This one was in better condition.
  • Card 3: A 1989 Upper Deck. These were considered premium at that time.
  • Card 4Another Topps from some years.

I checked the corners of the cards, I examined the surfaces for any scratches, and I looked at the centering of the images. I also flipped them over to read the stats and information on the back.

I went to check the price of the cards. I mean, who knows, right? Maybe I was sitting on a goldmine! Sadly no goldmine found. It was great to find the card, but not to sell them.

Even though they weren’t worth a fortune, finding these Ken Griffey Sr. cards brought back a lot of good memories. It reminded me of simpler times, collecting cards with my friends, and watching baseball games on TV. It’s funny how a few pieces of cardboard can do that!
