Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out some new hiking spots near Leavenworth, and I finally got around to it. Here’s how it all went down.
First, I did some digging online. I wanted something that wasn’t crazy difficult, but still offered good views. I found a bunch of articles and blogs with different lists.

I narrowed down the options to a few trails that seemed promising:
- One that seemed super popular, and that had a lake.
- Another shorter one,looked easy.
- And a third that was a bit longer, but sounded like it had amazing wildflowers.
Next step, I checked the weather. You don’t want to get caught in a storm up in the mountains, trust me! It was looking pretty good, maybe a little warm, but mostly sunny.
Then I packed my bag. The essentials, you know: water, snacks (lots of snacks), sunscreen, a hat, and my trusty hiking boots. Also, I threw in a map, just in case my phone died.
Getting there was pretty straightforward. I just followed the directions on my phone, and enjoyed the views.
Once I hit the trail, it was awesome! The air was fresh, the scenery was stunning, and it was just the right amount of challenge.
I took tons of pictures along the *. Every turn seemed to have a better view than the last!
Finally, I made it to the top .The view was incredible. I could see for miles! I sat there for a while, just soaking it all in, munching on my snacks, and feeling pretty darn good.
Heading back down was a little easier, of course, but I still took my time. I didn’t want to twist an ankle or anything.

All in all, it was an amazing day. I’m so glad I finally made the effort to explore some of the trails near Leavenworth. I’ll definitely be back for more!
