Alright, so I wanted to dive into the work of this photographer, Andrew Brown, and see what his style is all about. I’ve been trying to up my own photography game, and looking at other people’s work always gives me some inspiration.
First, I opened up my browser and typed in “andrew brown photography”. I found some of websites.
Getting a Feel for His Style
Okay, so after browsing, I started to get a sense of his style. It seems like he’s really into these things:
- Bold Colors: Lots of vibrant, saturated colors. Nothing too muted or washed out.
- Sharp Focus: Everything seems super crisp and in focus. He’s not afraid to get close to his subjects.
- Dynamic Compositions: He plays around with angles and perspectives, making the shots feel lively.
- Variety of Subjects:It seems like he like taking photos of different types.
Trying It Out Myself
So, inspired by what I saw, I grabbed my own camera and headed outside. I decided to focus on using what I’d observed from studying Andrew Brown’s stuff.
First, I tried to find some colorful scenes. I live near a park with a bunch of flowerbeds, so I went there. I looked for flowers with really bright reds, yellows, and purples.
Next, I worked on getting my focus super sharp. I made sure my camera settings were right, and I took my time to really nail the focus on the petals and leaves. I tried a few close-up shots, just like I saw in some of Brown’s work.
Finally, I experimented with different angles. Instead of just standing and shooting straight on, I crouched down low, got up high on a bench, and tried shooting from the side. It definitely made the photos feel more interesting.
My Results
Honestly, my first attempts weren’t amazing. It’s harder than it looks! But I definitely learned a few things. I realized how important it is to really pay attention to the colors around you and to not be afraid to move around and try different perspectives. I need to work on my focusing skills, especially when I’m shooting close-ups.
I’m going to keep practicing and keep looking at Andrew Brown’s work for inspiration. It’s a process, but it’s fun to see how other photographers approach their craft and to try to incorporate some of their techniques into my own work.
