Okay, so I’ve been diving into this “kids who changed the world” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a rabbit hole of inspiration! I started out just poking around, you know, curious about what kind of impact kids have actually had.
Getting Started
First, I brainstormed a bit. What does “changing the world” even mean? Does it have to be HUGE, like inventing something groundbreaking? Or can it be smaller, more local acts of goodness?

I decided I was down for that.
- I hit up Google, of course. Just a simple search for “kids who changed the world” to see what popped up.
- I found some interesting articles and lists, but nothing that really grabbed me. They were all just names and short descriptions. I wanted the STORIES.
Digging Deeper
Then I remembered a documentary I watched.
So I jumped over to YouTube.
- I typed in similar keywords there, and boom – found some cool mini-documentaries and news reports. Much more engaging!
- I started taking notes, jotting down names, what they did, and any interesting details about their struggles or triumphs.
Lots of videos.
Organizing My Thoughts
After a few hours of watching and researching, I had a messy pile of notes.
So, I opened up a Google Doc and started organizing everything.

- I created headings for each kid, then filled in the details from my notes.
Seeing it all laid out like that made it much easier to understand the scope of what these kids had accomplished.
Realizations and Next Steps
Honestly, it’s been pretty humbling. We often underestimate what young people are capable of. These kids, facing all sorts of challenges, persevered and made a real difference. It’s super inspiring!
I was really moved, and realized I learned something.
My next step is to narrow down the list and do some deeper dives into a few of the most impactful stories.
I also might try to find some books or longer documentaries to get even more context.
It’s a work in progress, but it’s been a really rewarding journey so far!
